Its has been officially confirmed that Real Madrid Manager Zinedine Zidane has resigned shortly after the 2020/2021 season came to an end over the last weekend.

The news came in a week were the coach has taken the opportunity to leave Madrid for a break and a week where his players have insisted that he would stay according to Marca.com

 

The back-to back Champions League winner lost the La Liga tittle to rival Atletico Madrid over the last weekend after defeating the current Europa League winner Villarreal by 2-1 securing the last 3 point for the season becoming second with 84 points with 2 points difference below the Spanish Giant, Atletico Madrid.

The Frenchman took the decision to leave the club with immediate effect after a poor performance in the just concluded season without winning any trophy for the club.

Zizou as he’s formally known returned to the club in 2019 and won the 2019/2020 La Liga tittle and a Supercopa de Espana  before his departure with the club.

The big question is who will take over from Zinedine Zidane with the likes of Antonio Conte who recently won the Serie A League tittle and departed from Inter few days ago or Massimiliano Allegri who have been free for some times ?

The race for a new Manager continues as replacement before the next season.
