University of Lagos UNILAG has reacted to the viral news of Chidinma Ojukwu, a 300l Mass Communication student who is the prime suspect of the murder of Super TV CEO, Michael Usifo Ataga.

 

According to reports, UNILAG slammed a Nigerian media house (not globalvoice) for linking Chidinma Ojukwu, to the institution.

 

Recall that Chidinma had identified herself as a 300-level student of Mass Communication of the institution and confessed stabbing Michael, who apparently was her sugar daddy to death.

 

The newspaper outlet  reportedly reached out to the spokesperson for UNILAG, Nonye Oguama, but met a waterloo.

 

According to the media, Oguama refused to confirm if Chidinma Ojukwu was indeed a student of the institution but rather slammed the media.

 

“When contacted by our reporter after the parade, Oguama said she would not respond and slammed the media for publishing Chidinma’s claim of being a student of the institution”, the media reported.

 

”You did not contact me before. You are just doing so now after you had published it on your website. We have no comments,” the media reported Oguama angrily responded.

 

When challenged with the fact that the parade was a live broadcast, the Oguama, who is the Principal Assistant Registrar, Corporate Affairs reportedly remained adamant, insisting that the name of the institution should not have been mentioned.

 

Meanwhile, an ex-student of the school revealed that the institution does not associate itself with any negativity of such and would not accept being linked to such.

 

The anonymous source added that as a matter of fact, the school might have removed her profile from its portal so as not to link her to the institution.
