It is no secret, there is a ton of talent in the state of Nebraska for 2022. This is perhaps one of the deepest groups of talent in recent memory. Fortunately for Nebraska, they have their eyes on some of these players. Is important that they land talent from their backyard as they need to continue to build that fence around the state.
There are players from both sides of the football. From tight ends, to linebackers, to wide receivers, it seems like there are a ton of athletes in the state for 2022. This is certainly helpful to Nebraska football, as they look to land recruits and commitments from players who can make a high-level impact
To be fair, Nebraska football started doing that with the 2021 class. Now, they need to continue to establish recruiting well in-state if they want to have success. Of course that is easier said than done, but the program certainly has momentum based off what they did last year. After whiffing in some respects in the 2020 class, they made up for in many ways in 2021.
Without further ado, I take a look at some key in-state prospects for Nebraska football in the 2022 class. There are certainly many more than what is on this list. However, there is no doubt a theme for what Nebraska football is trying to do. In that respect, they are trying to land playmakers.
